Igretec

As the Charleroi Métropole Economic Development Agency, IGRETEC currently manages 21 business parks and more than 67,000 m2 of office space, workshops, laboratories and relay points. In order to offer the largest possible range of facilities adapted to the needs of companies, the Intercommunale recently created new sites for companies: Charleroi-Airport I, Charleroi-Airport II, the extension of the Thuin-Lobbes and Chimay-Baileux Parks, and the Ecopole.

A sectoral approach will guide the Intercommunale’s future investments and should also concern its current assets in order to ensure that they are compatible with strategic developments. This approach has already been initiated for the biotechnology sector in 2019. A major project is currently under study involving the construction of more than 20,000 m² of laboratories, office space and access to many services at the Aéropole.

Active marketing activities are underway at the European Industrial Park Brussels South Charleroi site, formerly Caterpillar. Ideally located, this 93 ha site, including 25 ha of “buildings”, represents a unique opportunity in Europe.
